The 2008 Sahara Elite League

In the first edition of the Sahara Elite League the Western Chiefs opened their campaign with an emphatic win over Southern Stars [http://www.cricketeurope4.net/DATABASE/ARTICLES2/articles/000027/002765.shtml Nick Deverell, CricketEurope: Chiefs, Aces start Elite Leagues in emphatic fashion] but their form fell away as the competition progressed and so far they have only been able to compile two third place finishes in the Twenty20 and One Day competitions.
