Kamakapu

Kamakapu

Kamakapu was the 15th Alii Aimoku of Kauai. He ruled as titular King or chief of Kauai. He was born around the year 1605 A.D.

He was son of Kahakumakalina, 14th Alii Aimoku of Kauai and his second wife Kahakumaia. He was half-brother of Koihelauwailaua consort of Keawenui King of Hawaii. His nephew Kanaloakua'ana was the joint ruler of Hawaii along with his wife Kaikilani the Queen of Hawaii. Of Kamakapu nothing further has been remembered thatn that he married Pawahine and had a son Kawelomahamahaia who would succeed him as king of Kauai.
