Peter Lorange

Peter Lorange

Dr. Peter Lorange has been the President of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), from July 1, 1993 till March 31, 2008. He is the current professor for International shipping. He was formerly president of the Norwegian School of Management in Oslo. Before that, Lorange taught at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and at the Sloan School of Management (M.I.T.).

Lorange received his undergraduate education from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business, was awarded an MA degree in operations management from Yale University, and his Doctor of Business Administration degree from Harvard University. He has written or edited 18 books and some 120 articles.
