Avalanche is the name of a Norwegian disco and dance group founded in 1987, composed of Kjetil Rosnes (from Lørenskog) and Kristi Johansen (from Mo i Rana, Kristiansand). The two musicians are former members of a band named Helpless. They currently live in Germany [Elia Habib, "Muz hit. tubes", p. 160 (ISBN 2-9518832-0-X)] . In 1989, the band has known a brief but intense success with the song "Johnny, Johnny Come Home", in France where it was number-one single for eight weeks, and Norway.
