Epworth Show Was started before the
Second World War on 'Battle Green' at the time is was a small event catering for the local area. Over the years the show has grown and changed with the nature of what the local people wanted and expected. The Show nowadays still has a veryAgricultural feel to it, withCattle ,Sheep ,Goats ,Shire Horses and VintageTractors , mixed up with a variety of entertainment, includingShow-Jumping ,Mountain & Moorland Ponies ,Trade Stands , Children's Entertainment and aDog Show .The Show is run by the
Epworth & District Agricultural Society. A committee made up of different members of the community and local area, bringing a mix of skills and talents as well as being made up of Funding & Honourary Life Members, as well as Patrons. The Society is now acharitable organisation.The Organisation runs three different events through the Summer Calendar:

August Bank Holiday , it includes a range ofEntertainment ,Children's Entertainment ,Goats ,Cattle ,Sheep ,Shire-horses ,Show-Jumping ,Horses &Ponies ,Mountain & Moorland Ponies,Vintage Vehicles , Trade Stands, Beer Tent and other Exhibits.

*The [http://members.lycos.co.uk/epworthshow/beerfestival.html Epworth Beer Festival] - Held over the August Bank Holiday weekend on the Friday and Saturday night and includes a range of "Real Ales ",Continental Lagers andCiders as well asLive Bands .The Showfield
The show has had several different sights in its life span. All within
Epworth, Lincolnshire itself. The early years were on Battle Green, Epworth. It later moved down Scawcett Lane and moved around a couple of fields there. The Society finally found a permanent sight which is now it's home. Located on Wroot Road, the Show has been there for almost 20 years and in that time they have purchased more land and built a variety of facilities which are used by the Show and other events that take place there.Other local events
