Jeansagnière is a
village and commune in theLoire "département" of centralFrance . The origins of the name "Jeansagnière" are from a once well-known resident. The area specialized in slaughtering pigs, the knowledge of which was required by all the families in the area that wished to take part in the annual tradition of "to kill the pig". "Jean the Slaughterer" was thus rather famous in the area, and the hamlet where he lived adopted his name.
