The Supercomputing and Visualization Center of Madrid (or CeSViMa for short) (In Spanish, Centro de Supercomputación y Visualización de Madrid) depends on the Computer Science Faculty of the
Technical University of Madrid . This center housesMagerit , the second most powerful supercomputer in Spain. This center and its supercomputer is a member of theSpanish Supercomputing Network .In
2004 CeSViMa was created by theTechnical University of Madrid andCIEMAT . The aim of the center is to provide computation resources to the researchers ofMadrid .IBM provided the supercomputer Magerit in the center. The center also has an interactive 3Dvisualization infrastructure and aterrestrial scanner .In
2007 CeSViMa joined theSpanish Supercomputing Network and the supercomputerMagerit was upgraded. The 70% of the supercomputer CPU time is used for RES researches while the 30% is used for Madrid reserarches.Sources
