"2 Hype" is the debut album by rap duo, Kid 'n Play. The album was released in 1988 for Select Records and was produced by Hurby Luv Bug and The Invincibles. "2 Hype" was a success for the duo, making it to #96 on the Billboard 200 and #9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and being certified platinum by the RIAA. Three singles found success on the Hot Rap Singles chart, "Rollin' with Kid 'n Play" (#2), "2 Hype" (#19) and "Gittin' Funky" (#24).
