Susan (Sue) Elizabeth Walker (born 14 September 1951) is an Australian politician. She has been an Liberal member and now Independent member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since June 2001, representing the electorate of Nedlands. She resigned from the Liberal Party in February 2008 after being a member for thirty years and intends to recontest her seat as an Independent politician. Her reasons for leaving the party were the continued influence of both Brian Burke and Noel Crichton-Browne on decision making of the states major parties in her electorate. Sue Walker is a British migrant to Australia who arrived in Western Australia in 1967 and was a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Laws graduate at the University of Western Australia. She utilised her knowledge of law for work within the community which she was able to augment since becoming a member of parliament. Prior to this, Sue Walker had various other occupations..
