"Liarea hochstetteri carinella" is a subspecies of land snail, a terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Liareidae.

Distribution

This subspecies is endemic to New Zealand, found in the North Island from Kawau Island in the north to the Awakino Gorge in the south.

hell description

The shell is smaller and more slender spired than the typical "Liarea hochstetteri".

Coloration is uniformly light brown, without hydrophanous markings.

Shell height is up to 8.7 mm, and width up to 5.5 mm.
