Bonnie Myotai Treace, Sensei, is the senior Dharma successor of John Daido Loori, Roshi, in the Mountains and Rivers Order, head sensei of Hermitage Heart, and former vice-abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery and abbess of the Zen Center of New York City. Treace received Dharma transmission from Daido Loori in October 1996. Previously, she held the position of director of Dharma Communications and was in charge of the affiliates of the Mountains and Rivers Order—particularly the Zen Center of New York City.

Treace authored a chapter of Daido Loori's book "The Art of Just Sitting: Essential Writings on the Zen Practice of Shikantaza", along with other writings. She is a member of the American Zen Teachers Association.
