School diva

A school diva is a popular culture reference for a female student, whether in elementary school, middle school, or high school who sees herself as an alpha female. Commonly characterized by television shows and movies, school divas are often portrayed as popular or pretty. [Tracy, K. *Heightened self-esteem, to a point of arrogance and narcissism
*Perceived as having numerous male suitors
*Perceived as having the admiration (or envy) of female peers
*Perceived as having a strong-will, that can overextend to becoming aggressive, selfish and manipulative
*Can behave as a bully
*In some cases, can also be the child of a faculty member

Usually, the behavior of a school diva is often caused by a trauma or tragedy of some kind that occurred in her life, such as a parent dying or being neglected by peers and/or family when younger.
