- Peggy Lam Pei Yu-dja
Peggy Lam Pei Yu-dja (林貝聿嘉), known as Peggy Lam, is an
activist inHong Kong . She participates many volunteer organisations and committees inHong Kong Government . She is the CEO ofThe Family Planning Association of Hong Kong .Family
Peggy was born in Pei family and thus name Pei Yu-dja(貝聿嘉). She is the younger nephew of
Pei Ieoh-ming (I. M. Pei), a famousarchitect .Education
Peggy graduated from
University of Shanghai with a bachelor degree in Arts. She received a certificate infamily planning from theUniversity of Chicago and a certificate inPublic Health Administration from theUniversity of Michigan .Politics
She was a member of the
Preparatory Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. She was also a member ofLegislative Council and theChinese People’s Political Consultative Conference , and also theChairman ofWan Chai District Council .Honours
Peggy was appointed as the
Justice of the Peace in 1981. She later awarded theMember of the Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1985, theOfficer of the Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1993. After the establishment ofHKSAR , she was awarded theSilver Bauhinia Star (S.B.S.) in 1998 and theGold Bauhinia Star (G.B.S.) in 2003.External links
