Sally Magnusson

Sally Magnusson, (born 11 October 1955 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish broadcaster and writer, currently working for BBC Scotland, she also presents Tracing Your Routes on BBC Radio 4.

Career

Sally is often seen on BBC television. She has presented many television programmes, ranging from "Reporting Scotland" to "Songs of Praise". In 2005 she joined the BBC's "The Daily Politics" as its Friday presenter.

Background

Sally Magnusson is the daughter of the late broadcaster and writer Magnús Magnússon. Her mother, Mamie Baird, also worked as a journalist. She studied English Language and Literature at Edinburgh University before starting her journalistic career on the Scotsman newspaper in Edinburgh followed by the Sunday Standard in Glasgow.
