* Freedomland was a theme park in the Bronx,
New York ,USA from 1960-64. Over convert|200|acre|km2 in the shape of the United States, the park originally had a simulated-history theme. In its last years it became more of a conventional amusement park, then closed under competition from the 1964-65 Worlds Fair. Site is now "Co-Op City" high-rise development.Opryland USA

Opryland USA was a convert|125|acre|km2|sing=on theme park in Nashville,Tennessee ,USA themed around American music. The park was affiliated with theGrand Ole Opry , with shows and live entertainment being notably emphasized around the park rather than rides. Six Flags Astroworld was a 90 acre theme park in Houston,Texas ,USA . Originally opened as just "AstroWorld" in1968 , the park was a sister attraction to theAstroDome , home of the namesakeHouston Astros . Paramount's Kings Dominion

Apple Turnover was removed for the original Hurricane Reef expansion in1992 .
*Diamond Falls was closed due to roughness in 2002; demolished in2005 and will be replaced by the Italian Job Stunt Coaster in2006 .
*Freefallin' and a kids area in Waterworks were removed at the start of the 2004 season to make room for the Italian Job Stunt Coaster.
* Galaxy was closed after the 1984 season; In 1983 a rider was decapitated.
* King Kobra
*Lake Charles , which hosted shows in the early days of Kings Dominion, was partially filled in during the early 1990s to make room for Kings Dominion's water park. As of the 2005 season, part of the lake still remained.
*Lion Country Safari was closed after the 1992 season; the area the monorail station was located in was rethemed to Congo and (as of 2005 ) is now an empty field.
*Time Shaft / Haunted River / Smurf Mountain: removed to make room for the Volcano roller coaster

*Old Dominion Line
*Sky Pilot was removed in the mid to late 1990s due to maintenance issues and a fatality.Paramount's Kings Island
* Screamin' Demon: Arrow Shuttle-launched single loop coaster moved to Camden Park in West Virginia in 1988. It closed in 1999 and was removed in 2004.
* The Bat: Arrow first generation suspended coaster removed after four seasons due to mechanical problems. Replaced by Arrow custom multi-looper, "Vortex". This ride uses the same loading station as "The Bat". This ride re-emerged in different form as Top Gun, a successful Arrow Suspended coaster some years later in a different section of the park.
* King Cobra: TOGO stand up looping coaster closed after the 2001 season due to expensive maintenance King Cobra was dismanted at the start of the 2002 season. Replaced with Delirium, a Huss Giant Frisbee.ix Flags

*The Edge. Intamin first generation FreeFall Ride removed one season after accident injuring 3 teenagers. Replaced with PowerDive.
*Gulf Coaster. Junior coaster removed after park's debut season due to unpopularity and small mechanical fire.
*Hay Baler and Sky Whirl Removed for Deja Vu
*Power Dive. Looping Starship replaced with King Chaos, a Chance Inverter ride.
*Rolling Thunder. Bobsled ride relocated to another park. Former location is now entrance area for Southwest Territory/Hurricane Harbor.
* Shockwave-former Arrow multi-inversion "parking lot coaster" replaced by Superman and real landscaping.
*Southern Cross. Round trip sky ride removed as part of construction for White Water Rapids/Roaring Rapids.
*Tidal Wave. Intamin Shuttle-Loop coaster removed forBatman The Ride Tidal Wave relocated to SFOG and SFKK as Greezed' Lighting.
*Turn Of The Century. Arrow custom double-corkscrew modified by removing two airtime hills with two loops and heavy theming elements for The Demon.
*Traffique Jam. Car ride Removed for construction of White Water Rapids/Roaring Rapids prior to 1984 season.
*Yukon Yahoo. Bayern Curve ride removed.
*Z Force. Intamin's only Space-Diver roller coaster relocated first to SFOG as "Z-Force", then to SFMM as "Flashback". Replaced at SFGAM by Iron Wolf, B&M's first stand-up roller coaster.ix Flags Over Texas
* Big Bend ran at Six Flags Over Texas 1971-1978 The Big Bend was transported to Six Flags St. Louis after leaving Six Flags Over Texas. At one time the trains could be seen in a field from the lift of the Screamin' Eagle's lift. Later the Big Bend was sold for scrap metal.
