Khuda Bux Bhutto was a hardworking mechanic serving in the Indian Railways. He had good connections with British Locomotive Engineers while working at his native town'sBhattu Kalan Railway Station,Hisar District, Haryana, India. He was very impressed with western values, therefore decided to send his son, Shah Nawaz Bhutto, for higher education to theUK . After completing his education, Shah Nawaz Bhutto joined service with the Nawab ofJunagadh . Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto was a highly educated and talented man who deeply impressed the Nawab. Shah Nawaz Bhutto became theDewan (prime minister) ofJunagadh state. After the partition of British India in 1947, he moved to Larakana in Sindh with his family.
