writer and afeminist . She was born inNairobi ,Kenya , and is currently a Lecturer in Psychology atSouthampton Solent University , Britain. She has lectured Psychology atFlorida State University 's London Centre, and was previously a research associate at theUniversity of Kent in Britain. Her research is in the social psychological field of Group Processes, examining ethnic identity strategies, compunction emotions between groups, and cross-cultural explorations of group phenomena.She served as AUF vice president and as a member of the AUF Executive Committee before becoming president.
