Communist Party of Honduras (in Spanish: Partido Comunista de Honduras) was a communist party in Honduras. PCH was founded on October 10, 1954. It had its roots in the Honduran Revolutionary Democratic Party.
PCH was claimed by the government to be an illegal party. It develop a strong presence in the trade union movement, for example amongst banana plantations. In the mid 1960s the U.S. State Department estimated the party membership to be approximately 2400.[1]
In 1990 PCH was dissolved, and merged into Patriotic Renovation Party.
The party was been reactivated during the celebration of it's 5th Congress in 2011.[2]
