Dan Gardiner

Dan Gardiner is a 17 year old athlete from Leeds, West Yorkshire. He started his career at the age of 8 taking part in small scale athletics competitions. He whent on to take his hobby up into a career path and found himself a trainer. From then on he has been successful in the British Triathlon events and has won a number of awards and medals.Specify|date=March 2008 Now, at the age of 17, he is officially "Britains Fastest Man 2007",Citequote|date=March 2008 he has also been nicknamed the "IronMan" and has been rewarded by the crowds through chants such as "God Speed Danny!"

Dan has recently undertaken a gap year after College and is hoping to go to a local university in 2009/2010. Dans parents are both supportive of this decision despite some criticism from his supporters. Many os Dan's critics claim that he is selling out athletics and is simply persuing money and the status of a celebrity. After the british success in Beijing 2008 olympics Dan is hoping to return to the game and prove himself when the olympics come to London in 2012. The question on everyones lips is "Will Dan make it to 2012, or will his Rock n' Roll lifestyle destroy him first?".

Dan's parents have made it clear that they still love him, despite his recent deterioration into, what has been described as, a George Best lifestyle.
