The Portuguese Catholic Diocese of Setúbal (Latin: Dioecesis Setubalensis) has existed since 1975. It is a suffragan of the archdiocese of Lisbon.[1] Its see at Setúbal is south of Lisbon. As of 2008[update], the bishop is Gilberto Délio Gonçalves Canavarro dos Reis, who was appointed in 1998.[2]
