Demographics

The majority of all Pakistanis Danish live in the capital city, Copenhagen. There is also a big population of Pakistanis in Vejle, Odense and Aarhus.

Languages

Most Pakistani Danish speak Urdu, however those which were born in Denmark usually speak Danish. It is very common for many also speak a second or third language, as they often tend to keep hold of their native tongues, which includes Punjabi, Kashmiri and Pashto.

Religion

Most Pakistani Danish are Muslims. Religion figures prominently in the life of Pakistani Danish families, and the Quran and the teachings of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad serve as the guidelines that Pakistani Muslims are supposed to follow throughout their lives. The majority of Pakistanis belong to the Sunni sect of Islam, although a significant representation may a big population of Shi'ite sect. There may also be small sects of Ahmadiya residing within the population as well.
