Hirschmann

Hirschmann is a company with a long tradition, originally called Richard Hirschmann GmbH & Co. and is located in Germany, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Hirschmann is/was known as antenna manufacturer with a high quality standard. Richard Hirschmann founded the company in 1924 with the world-famous banana connector (German: Bananenstecker).

After several acquisitions and resales Hirschmann continues with three independent companies: Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH, Hirschmann Car Communication GmbH and Triax-Hirschmann Multimedia GmbH. The group was acquired by US Company Belden in 2007.
