10 February 1963 in Danderyd,Sweden ) is a Swedishdrummer best known as the former drummer in thehard rock band Europe. He played on their first two albums, "Europe" and "Wings of Tomorrow ". He was fired in the middle of the "Wings of Tomorrow" tour in 1984, because the other band members had gotten tired of his slacking off from rehearsals and lack of motivation. He was replaced byIan Haugland .In 1986 Niemistö joined sleaze rock band Geisha, replacing
Mikkey Dee . Niemistö changed his artist name to Tony Lace, but eventually he went back to using his real name. Geisha released the album "Phantasmagoria" in 1987, before splitting up two years later. Geisha's vocalist Yenz Cheyenne then formed the band =Y=, which Niemistö joined. They recorded two albums, "=Y=" in 1991 and "Rawchild" in 1992.Niemistö is currently living in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, where he works in a
