The Vallée de Joux is a
valley of theJura Mountains in the swiss Canton ofVaud . It is located at 20 miles (50 km) North fromGeneva andLausanne , its mean altitude is over 3300 feet (1000meter s). There are three lakes in the "Vallée de Joux" : thelac de Joux (around 6 miles (10 km) long), thelac Brenet and thelac Ter . The border withFrance is all along the north part of the valley.There are three main municipalities in the valley,
Le Chenit ,Le Lieu and L'Abbaye forming the district of La Vallée. These include ten villages like:Le Sentier ,Le Brassus ,Le Pont , ...The "Vallée de Joux" is with Neuchâtel, the birthplace of the Swiss
