Clell Lee Metcalf (25 March 1888 , Lakeville , -21 August 1948) was an American entomologist who specialised in Diptera.
He wrote Metcalf, C.L. Syrphidae of Maine. Maine Agricultural Experiment Station Bulletin 253: 1-264 (1916), Insects; man's chief competitors Baltimore,Williams and Wilkins (1932 with Wesley Pillsbury Flint) and many other works.
