Irinel Popescu is the Head of the General Surgery and Liver Transplantation Centre at Fundeni Institute. He was born in Filiaşi, Dolj County, Romania on April 22 1953. He followed Medicine in Bucharest - Romania, graduated in 1977 with 9,98 grade, being the first in the promotion at "The Intership Contest of Surgical Specializations".
