Belton is a small village in the Isle of Axholme area of North Lincolnshire, England that lies on the A161 road.
According to the 1991 census, Belton has a population of 2,549.
Within Belton parish boundaries are the hamlets of Beltoft, Sandtoft, Churchtown, Bracon, Carrhouses, Mosswood, Grey Green and Westgate. There is also the, now broken up, country house estates of Temple Belwood and Hirst Priory.
It has a small primary school that has been in existence since 1869 and four public houses.
RAF Sandtoft, a former RAF Bomber Command base, closed in 1955 and has since been converted to other uses, including Sandtoft Airfield which is home to Sandtoft Flying School. The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, the largest trolleybus museum in Europe, is located on part of the site of the former air base.
Just to the north of Belton is the small town of Crowle and just to the south is the village of Epworth. The nearest large town is Scunthorpe, approximately six miles from Belton.
