Debra Smiley Holtzman

Debra Smiley Holtzman is a prominent expert in the field of child safety and health, known for her frequent appearances in national and local media.

Holtzman has appeared on or been quoted by The Today Show, The John Walsh Show, the Boston Globe, and the Washington Post. In addition, she is the safety expert for the Discovery Health Channel’s weekly series Make Room for Baby. Awards she has received include an honorary co-chairmanship of the Florida SAFE KIDS Coalition and the “Everyday Hero” award from Reader's Digest.

She was a 1995 candidate for the title of Miss Florida, and holds an M.A. in occupational health and safety and a law degree.
