Whitelining

Whitelining

Whitelining is a form of lane splitting where the cyclist is traveling on the lane stripe that divides two adjacent lanes, usually in order to pass slower traffic, but also sometimes in order to allow faster traffic to pass him. Bicyclists commonly "whiteline" the bike lane stripe in order to avoid debris that often collects in bike lanes, or to share the bike lane with another bicyclist.
