Camp CAEN is a
computer camp offered by the College of Engineering's Computer Aided Engineering Network (CAEN) at theUniversity of Michigan inAnn Arbor . It is focused on educatingjunior high andhigh school aged students on subjects related tocomputer science andcomputer engineering .Staff members, both college professors and engineering "student mentors," teach classes such as: Java programming,
C++ programming, C# programming,game development ,artificial intelligence (AI),Web development ,Flash animation ,computer graphics ,3D modeling and rendering, andvirtual reality .2008 Camp CAEN
In 2008, Camp CAEN was in session from June 15 to August 1 in two and one-week installments. Classes took place in the North Campus's Pierpoint Commons and other buildings in the area, including the
Lurie Tower . Residents were housed at Bursley Hall, provided byUniversity of Michigan Housing .ource
