- Chelsea Bernasconi
Chelsea Bernasconi (born
February 14 ,1993 ) is a Wushumartial artist andstudent . She started training at age 11 and won handfuls of awards in her younger years. She started training gymnastics before eleven and switched to wushu when her mom (Ida Bernasconi) introduced her to it. At age 13, she won a Gold medal in the World Junior Wushu Championships inKuala Lumpur last August 2007 in thespear division. She continues to win golds in national events, one recently concluded last summer of 2008.She trained gymnastics when she was a child before she started wushu. Then her mother (Ida Bernasconi) urged her to learn wushu when the More than Medals athlete group started in Crossroad77 (located at Quezon city, mother ignacia scout reyes corner). She refused to try it at first but got the hang of it when she saw the athletes do the cool moves.
She is the daughter of Ida Bernasconi. She has two sisters namely, Toni and Nicole. Chelsea has a deep bond of relationship with her family and with God.
Her favorite division was the double sword. She says that the double sword is her strength and the spear her weakness.
