Professor Roberta Gilchrist FSA, MIFA (born 1965) is a British
archaeologist , who is currently Professor of Archaeology at theUniversity of Reading . She gained her PhD inmedieval archaeology from theUniversity of York , and has specialised in the archaeology of themedieval period in the UK, especially in relation to the archaeology of religion, and the archaeology of gender. She is a Member of theInstitute of Field Archaeologists and a Fellow of theSociety of Antiquaries of London .Her professional and academic roles have included being Archaeologist to
