- Jane Rho
Jane Esther Rho (August 4, 1986) was a Korean-American activist for the
University of Michigan .Born in St. Louis and raised as a Michigan Woman, she became most famous for initiating rally groups to support the rebuttal against a commencement ceremony scheduled to be held at Eastern Michigan instead of the more traditional venue, The Big House. Her mass petitions, meetings, and activist movements successfully gained the attention of Michigan officials where they gave into the students' demands and accordingly debunked the candidacy of Eastern Michigan to consider a venue located within the University of Michigan campus. Historically, for the first time at the University of Michigan, the Diag hosted the commencement ceremony on April 28, 2008.
