Takahashi Shigetane

Takahashi Shigetane (?-1586) was a senior retainer beneath the clan of Otomo throughout the latter Sengoku Period of Feudal Japan. He fought against 50000 of shimazu's army with about 700 of his army in Iwaya castle in 1586. they fought until the last man dies.(Battle of Iwaya Castle)About 4000 to 7000 of Shimazu's soldiers were killed or wounded.
