Born on 10 October 1952 in Montreal he was educated at McGill University and "Montreal Theological College". His career then progressed steadily upwards through incumbencies at St-Bruno, Quebec , St Michael and All Angels, Montreal [ [http://stmichaelscabot.homestead.com/home.html Church web-site] ] and St Paul’s Lachine before the bishopric of Montreal.
