Pallippuram is a village on
Vypeen island, in theErnakulam district ofKerala ,south India . The village is located approximately 25 k.m. fromErnakulam and 20 k.m. fromCochin International Airport . The east border isVeeranpuzha , the north extension ofVembanad Lake and theIndian Ocean in the west. In English, this place is known as "Palliport".Nearby attractions include the famous
Cherai Beach and Pallippuram Fort. Pallippuram Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1503. It is one of the oldest existing European monoments in India.
