EML "Tasuja" (A432) is a "Lindormen"-class
diving vessel of theEstonian Navy and belongs into theEstonian Navy Mineships Division. The commanding officer of the vessel isLieutenant Commander Arto Reinmaa.Introduction
The command and support vessel "Tasuja" is currently used as the naval diving vessel of the Estonian Navy and the Mineships Division. A silver
sword is in the center of the coat of arms of the vessel. The sword points to Tasuja´s importance during the ancient Estonian Freedom Fight in the13th century AD and also points to the historicalEstonian Navy vessels "Tasuja" role during theEstonian War of Independence . The ships motto is inLatin "More Maiorum" which means in English "As our forefathers". The coat of arms was designed by Priit Herodes. On8 July 2006 a cooperation contract was signed between theKunda city council and the diving vessel "Tasuja" which gave the vessel a right to wear the Kunda town coat of arms and to introduce the city in all foreign harbors across the world.History
The EML "Tasuja" (A432) is built in
Denmark , in aSvendborg Værft shipyard inDenmark . The vessel was launched on7 June 1977 and she entered service a year later on14 June 1978 . TheDanish Navy decommissioned "Lindormen" (english: "The Dragon") in2004 and donated the vessels to theEstonian Navy . The coat of arms was presented on a ceremony on12 April in2006 .
