József Borovnják elsewhere "Borovnyák," (also known in _sl. Jožef Borovnjak) slovenian writer and Roman Catholic Priest in Hungary.

Borovnják born in village Ivanócz (later "Alsószentbenedek," slovenian "Ivanovci"). His family was originally evangelic's. His father switch of the catholic religion.
Borovnják he took the office of priest in the first half in the Istvánfalvian Church, in village Apátistvánfalva (Vas Country, 1851-1852), last some time Priest in Felsőlendva and Cankova (here dead).

Borovnják wrote books in the local Wends dialect of Prekmurje, for example cathecism, or prayer-book's. In 1877 bring to postumus the reprint the Küzmics-evangelical. Borovnják armor to the Wends dialect, also was political trouble-shooter.
