Armin Wolf (born
August 19 ,1966 ) is an Austrianjournalist and well-knowntelevision anchor.Since 2002 he has been presenting
ORF 's (Austria's public television network) dailynews show "ZiB 2", the most respected news program in Austria with amarket share of almost 30 percent. Wolf is also one of the hosts of the Sunday morning interview show "Pressestunde" (ORF's version of "Meet the Press "). For his interviews he was distinguished with numerous awards, e.g. "Journalist of the Year" 2004 and two "Romy" awards as Austria's most popular tv-anchor in 2006 and 2007.Born in
Innsbruck ,Tyrol , Wolf began his broadcasting career in 1985 as a freelancereporter for ORF's local studio there. In 1987 he moved toVienna as a reporter and editor forforeign affairs at ORF's premier radio program "Ö1". 1991/92 he was based inWashington D.C. as U.S.-correspondent . From 1995 to 2002 he was political editor, chief correspondent and managing editor of various tv-news programs at ORF.Wolf graduated from the
University of Vienna with amaster's degree and from theUniversity of Innsbruck with adoctorate inpolitical science . He published two books about political communication and teaches courses in political science at the universities of Vienna and Innsbruck. He lives with Austrian journalist Euke Frank (editor-in-chief of the popular magazine "Woman") and her two children in Vienna.References
