Henri Marchal

Henri Marchal (Paris 1876 - Siem Reap 1970) was a French archeologist, member of the Ecole française d'Extrême-Orient, who has devoted a great part of his life to research on the art and archeology of Cambodia and the conservation and restauration of Khmer monuments at the archeological site of Angkor in Cambodia. He was appointed curator of Angkor in 1916, a position he held until 1953.
