Patti McGee

Patti McGee (born August 23, 1945) was the 1965 Woman's first National Skateboard Champion, Santa Monica. McGee was also the first female pro skateboarder.Fact|date=January 2008 She was paid by Hobie/Vita Pak to travel and demonstrate the Hobie skateboard on a national level.Fact|date=January 2008 This lasted almost a year until the craze subsided. Patti McGee was featured on the cover of "Life" magazine May 14, 1965 and the cover of the fourth issue of "Skateboarder" that same year.

McGee is still seen in and around the sport as "the first Betty" and an old-school icon.Fact|date=January 2008
