caption=Ouvrage Salmagne was a "petit ouvrage" of the
Maginot Line , built as part of the "New Frontiers" program to address shortcomings in the Line's coverage of the border withBelgium . Like the other three "ouvrages" nearMaubeuge , it was built on an old Séré des Rivères fortification. Salmagne comprised two combat blocks, with a new combination 25mm gun/50mm mortar turret.
