Music
The group play "mestizaje music" (Latin Alternative), a style combining traditional South American and Spanish styles with influences from ska, reggae, rock and world music. They have collaborated on projects with Manu Chao and Amparanoia.
In October 2009, CHE SUDAKA released their new album TUDO É POSSIBLE. A fitting title: after eight years of non-stop tours and more than 850 concerts in 21 countries, these six Argentinean and Columbian musicians have earned the appreciation and respect of audiences and the industry. And they all agree that theirs is one of the most energetic, most emphatic and craziest live shows on the national and international scene.
TUDO É POSSIBLE entered in November 2009 the European World Music Charts on the 15th position, and was selected by the Spanish Music Mag MONDO SONORO as the 5th best national album 2009 in the category of World Music! During their European record release tour between October´09 and March 2010, CHE SUDAKA rocked the audience in 56 cities in 10 countries and sold out various of the venues. In July 2010 TUDO É POSSIBLE was awarded by the Unión Independiente Fonográfica (UFI) in Spain, for the best album in the category World Music 2010. After its nomination by the professional jury, the album was voted by the audience for the winner.
CHE SUDAKA started out as illegal immigrants who had to play on Barcelona’s streets in order to eat. Now they’ve carved out their niche on the European scene, with regular appearances at top international festivals, and with fans all over the world - TUDO É POSSIBLE!
