"Hinea brasiliana" is a species of marine gastropod mollusc in the family Planaxidae.

Distribution

This species is endemic to Australia including Lord Howe Island, and northern New Zealand including the Kermadec Islands.

Description

The shell is very solid, , white, under a thick yellowish-brown periostracum. The aperture is narrowly ovate, much thickened within the outer lip, and ending below in a deeply channelled but very shallowly notched anterior canal.

Height is up to 18.5 mm, and width 8.5 mm.
