The shell is very solid, , white, under a thick yellowish-brown
periostracum . The aperture is narrowly ovate, much thickened within the outer lip, and ending below in a deeply channelled but very shallowly notched anterior canal.Height is up to 18.5 mm, and width 8.5 mm.
