Ramapur

Census Commission of India. Retrieved on 2007-09-03.] is a village in Pawai Block, Phulpur, Azamgarh, India . In Indian Postal Service Address its name is Rama Pur (Pur (Vedic)) at the place of Ramapur in combined form which generally used by people.

Ramapur was created at the time of the Muslim period by the ancestors of the village, who migrated from the Village Ulle which was under the Muslims (converted from Hindu). The Brahmin family of the village knew of the internal process as Azamgarh was came under Muslim reign near about 1800 A.D. and conversion was continuing, therefore the Jameendar gave the Brahmins a place where they were in a minority. The village people worship mostly Kali Ji along with other gods and they have higher faith in Purusharth and work is worship. The same situation occurred in the district name Aryamgarh (Field of Arya-Aryan), [ [http://www.experiencefestival.com/a/Arya/id/150002 Arya: Hindu Sanskrit Dictionary on Arya (Aryan) ] ] so called in Hindi, and Azamgarh in Urdu, as both Hindus and Muslims (converted) have faith in their own holy land.
