He gained international fame when he was involved in the TV series Race To Dakar in which he trained Charley Boorman to race off-road and then compete in the Lisbon to Dakar rally in 2006. The rally starts in St Petersberg on the 12th of June and finishes in Beijing on the 28th of June 2008.
