"Ultimate Race Pro" is a racing game, created by Kalisto Entertainment and published by Microprose.

Critical Reception

The game was built to run on 3dfx cards. Games like Ultimate Race Pro, and Incoming were the first games to use 3d hardware acceleration. IGN gave the game a 7.0 out of 10 because of the Euro-style layout and mediocre soundtrack. An unbalanced game which was revolved around the use the "power-slide". The game's graphics was the only thing that excelled. At that time, during 1998, the PC gaming market's attempt to port easy-to-play original arcade-like games began. Ultimate Race Pro is essentially a clone of Sega's hit game Daytona USA. The gameplay, physics and graphics are very similar. Unlike Incoming, the game's positive reviews were ignored by the mainstream media.
