Brazil competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.

Gold

* Marcelo Negrão, Jorge Edson Brito, Giovane Gavio, Paulo Andre Silva, Mauricio Lima, Janelson Carvalho, Douglas Chiarotti, Antonio Carlos Gouveia, Talmo Oliveira, Andre Felippe Ferreira, Alexandre Samuel and Amauri Ribeiro — Volleyball, Men's team competition. Eight years after the silver medal in Los Angeles, Brazil won the gold medal in the Olympic tournament without losing a single game. Only one player from 1984 remained, Amaury. In 2004, the Brazilians won again, with two players from 1992, Giovane and Maurício.

Silver

*Gustavo Borges — swimming, men's 100 metre freestyleBorges even overcame his idol Matt Biondi to win the silver medal. His lane's chronometer wasn't working, and they had to see the TV recordings to guarantee his medal. Borges won three more medals in 1996 and 2000.
