Qascom

Qascom (Quality and Secure Communications) is a software and systems technology provider of security applications in the satellite navigation and communications domain.Qascom operates in various sectors: Space, Transport and Government. In the space sector, Qascom has developed technologies and competence in security for Global Satellite Navigation Systems (GNSS) signals and receivers. In the transport sector, Qascom implemented solutions for the security and monitoring of road, marine and air vehicles. In the government sector, Qascom implemented solutions for public security and emergency response through the monitoring, coordination and control of people and vehicles critical to the operation.

Qascom is based in Bassano del Grappa, VI, Italy.

Research activities are mainly focused on GNSS signal and receiver security. Qascom has a number of publications in the field, pioneering the area of trusted location systems and location based access control. Research in GNSS receivers include the design and vulnerability assessment of tamper resistant hardware, software and cryptographic schemes. Qascom additionally performs research on anti-spoofing techniques through cryptographic integrity and authentication, both at the data and the signal level for both GNSS and augmentation systems.
