In 858, Guny's village is given to the abbey Notre-Dame from Soissons by Charles the bold.In 1368, Enguerrand VII from Coucy grants the collectivity franchise to Guny and twenty two other churches.1914-1918, WWI is devastating the village.From August 27th until September 28th, the 11th and 20th infantry fight Ailette battle to Guny's quarries.
The troops are resting in Guny's cave. People will keep living in these caves, in the after war poverty.
Saint Georges' church is destroyed, it will be restored in 1923.
A new bell is baptised in November 1923, in a temporary church.
In 1940, WWII fights are reaching once again the village & its surroundings.Photos
